Modern wedding balloon decor can transform an entire room. Today's installations are very different from the simple balloon decorations people may remember from twenty years ago. They are designed specifically for the venue and the architecture of the space: a sculpted arch for the ceremony, an organic garland along the head table, a balloon wall behind a photo area, large installations around a staircase or entrance, or clusters suspended above the dance floor.
Built well, balloon decor can have the visual impact of large floral installations while giving couples much more freedom in scale, shape and color.

WOW! Balloons USA has been designing and installing balloon decor for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events in Boston and throughout New England since 1990.
Founder and designer Mike Liberman has more than 35 years of experience in professional balloon decorating. During that time, WOW! Balloons USA has worked on more than 2,000 events, from intimate celebrations to large university, corporate and ballroom installations.
Every wedding design is created specifically for the event. Mike works directly with the couple, wedding planner or venue to determine what will have the greatest visual impact in the room.
Our installations are built and installed by our own crew. Because we also build many of our own support structures, we are not limited to standard balloon frames or pre-designed packages.
Where Balloon Decor Works Best at a Wedding
Balloon decor is especially effective when it is used to define an important part of the room rather than simply adding balloons everywhere.

A wedding ballroom in Boston is different from a barn in Massachusetts, a waterfront venue on the North Shore or a private home in New England.
That is why we normally begin with the room.
We look at photographs of the venue, ceiling height, available walls, entrances, windows, existing decor and the places where guests will naturally take photographs.
Then we decide where balloon decor will actually make a difference.
Sometimes one large installation is much more effective than five smaller decorations. In other rooms, several carefully positioned elements create a stronger result.
We will also tell you when we think balloons are not needed in a particular part of the room.
The goal is not to sell the maximum number of balloons. The goal is to make the wedding look right.
Custom Balloon Structures and Large Installations
One of the advantages of working with an experienced balloon decorator is the ability to create installations for unusual spaces.
WOW! Balloons USA builds custom structures when standard frames do not work for the design or the venue.
This allows us to create larger arches, freestanding installations, balloon walls, room-spanning decor and structures designed around architectural features of the venue.
For larger Boston and New England weddings, we can also coordinate installation timing with the venue, wedding planner, florist, photographer and other vendors.
Wedding Colors
Modern professional balloons are available in a very large range of colors and finishes.
We can work from your wedding palette, photographs, invitations, flowers, bridesmaid dresses or other visual references.
When necessary, balloons can also be double-stuffed, with one balloon placed inside another, to create more precise custom colors.
This is especially useful when the wedding design depends on matching a particular shade rather than simply choosing pink, blue or green.

How Much Does Wedding Balloon Decor Cost in Boston?
The cost depends primarily on the size and complexity of the installation, the venue, installation time and the amount of labor required.
Our minimum order is from $500 and up in the Boston area and from $1,000 and up in New York City, plus a $100 setup and delivery fee.
A relatively simple wedding installation may be several hundred dollars, while larger ballroom installations, balloon walls, ceilings and multiple coordinated decor elements can cost several thousand dollars.
Rather than pricing only by the number of balloons, we normally look at the room and recommend where your budget will create the greatest visual impact.

Earlier is better, particularly during busy wedding and graduation seasons. However, depending on our schedule and the complexity of the installation, we can sometimes accommodate events with only a few days' notice.
Yes. We work with a large professional color palette and can use double-stuffed balloons when a more precise custom shade is required.
Yes. We regularly coordinate with planners, venue managers, photographers and other event professionals.
Yes. In many cases, photographs and basic measurements are enough. For complicated installations, we may request additional measurements, floor plans or a site visit.
Our work focuses primarily on professionally installed air-filled balloon decor and structures rather than traditional helium balloon bouquets.
Cleanup and removal can be arranged when required by the venue or requested by the client. Standard teardown is $200.
Inspiration photographs are very helpful. Rather than simply copying another decorator's work, we normally adapt the idea to your venue, colors, budget and available space.
