Yes, absolutely.
If you are working with an event planner, that often makes the process easier and faster because planners understand the event business and know what details matter.
We also communicate directly with venue contacts when needed. It is very helpful to have the name and phone number of someone at the venue before we begin final planning. Venues may have special rules about loading areas, setup times, ceiling attachments, entrances, elevators, or where décor can and cannot be placed.
When we know those rules ahead of time, everything becomes much easier.
For more serious decoration projects, we often recommend or require a walkthrough. If the client can meet us at the venue, that is ideal. If not, we can sometimes go ourselves, call the client from the venue, and discuss the space by video while looking at walls, ceilings, entrances, and possible decoration points.
